Odisha Celebrates 'Lanka Podi Jatra' Festival; Streets Brighten Up

Residents of Odisha took to the streets to mark the end of the 12-day 'Lanka Podi Jatra' festival on April 20. Several events from the 'Ramayana' are enacted every year, as a part of the celebrations. A local said that he loves how the celebrants dance and sing during the festivities. He also stressed on the significance of the celebrations, noting that the 'Lanka Podi Jatra' is a centuries-old festival.
