Odisha CM Announces Free Smart Phones To Families In Naxal Prone Region

The Odisha government will provide free smartphones to all the families of Naxal prone "Swabhiman Anchal" region of Malkangiri district. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, through a video-conference, said, "Mobile phones will help children learn online and connect people with other parts of the country." He added that an amount of Rs 215 crore would be used for various developmental projects, and Rs 100 crore to improve roads and connect remote areas.
