Odisha Govt Announces 'Equal Opportunity Policy' For Transgenders

The state of Odisha has established an equal opportunity policy for transgenders. Within 15 days of filing a complaint, the policy will result in the appointment of a complaint officer to address their concerns. Any employee who discriminates against or harasses transgenders will be disciplined. According to a senior government official, equal job opportunities will be given to all regardless of their age, gender, sexual-orientation, race, religion, marital-status, or nationality.
