Officers Assigned Election Duties To Be Vaccinated Before Polls: EC

The Election Commission on February 26 stated that every individual, assigned a duty in the upcoming five state assembly polls, will be vaccinated against COVID-19. While the Health Ministry declared poll officials as 'frontline workers', CEC Sunil Arora announced an additional hour voting, eyeing the COVID precautions. Moreover, allowing only five people for door-to-door campaigns, the EC has specified only five vehicles for roadshows. The EC also ensured to deploy adequate Para forces for elections.
