ONGC To Build India's 1st Geothermal Field Development Project In Leh

The Ladakh UT, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, and ONGC Energy Centre on February 6 signed an agreement to install India’s first geothermal field development project. Inked at the first developmental conclave, Ladakh LG RK Mathur said the project would help to attain the goal of carbon-neutral Ladakh sustainably. The three-phase project eyes to give 100% free power to the locals in the first phase while going commercial for further stages.
