Only 25% Appeared for JEE in West Bengal due to Covid-19: Mamata Banerjee
On September 2, West Bengal Chief Minister (CM) Mamata Banerjee stated that only 25% of the students appeared for the Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) in the state. Out of 4,652 students, only 1,167 appeared for the exams. She further stated that the students were deprived of the opportunity. Reportedly, the state Government of West Bengal has requested the Centre to review the decision and safeguard the future for the students.
