Oxford Student Union Head Rashmi Resigns Amid Racial Controversy

Oxford University's first Indian-born Student Union President Rashmi Sawant resigned from her post following controversies over her alleged "racist" and "insensitive" social media posts. Taking to Facebook on February 18, the 22-year-old apologized for her actions and quit the leadership. Her now-deleted, controversial social media posts included a holocaust reference in 2017, besides captions that offended Chinese students and the LGBTQ+ community.
