Pakistan: Journalist Working for Women Empowerment Shot Dead In Balochistan

A journalist in Pakistan's Balochistan was shot dead on September 5. Pakistan's daily 'Dawn' reported that the victim, identified as Shaheena Shaheen Baloch, was an editor of a Balochi language magazine 'Dazgohar' and a social activist working for women empowerment. Police informed that the accused, her husband Mehrab Gichki, ran away after bringing the already dead Shaheena to the hospital. The government spokesperson has described this incident as "extremely unfortunate."
