Pakistan PM Wants 'Permanent Peace' With India, Prefers To Solve Kashmir Issue Without War
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on August 20 stated Pakistan seeks "permanent peace" with India through dialogue since war is not an option for any country to resolve the Kashmir problem. Sharif also stated that long-term peace in the area was dependent on the resolution of the Kashmir problem in accordance with UN resolutions. The Kashmir dispute and cross-border terrorism coming from Pakistan have frequently strained relations between India and Pakistan.
