PM To Initiate Work On India’s Longest Bridge Over Brahmaputra
PM Narendra Modi on February 18 will virtually lay the foundation stone for India's would-be longest bridge in Assam. The 19.282-km long four-lane bridge on NH-127B spanning across the Brahmaputra will connect Phulbari in Meghalaya to Dhubri in Assam. Reportedly, the strategic bridge would exponentially reduce travel time for people of both the states. Presumed to reach completion by 2026-27, the fifth bridge would require estimated spending of Rs.4,997 crore.
