PM Modi Becomes 'Most Followed Active Politician' On Twitter

With over 64.7 million followers, the personal account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the most followed active politician on Twitter. Earlier, POTUS Donald Trump had the most number of followers. However, the microblogging site suspended his account owing to violation of guidelines. Reportedly, Trump had around 88.7 million followers on Twitter. Interestingly, Barak Obama holds the record of being the most followed politician with 127.9 million followers.
