PM Modi Commissions INS Vikrant, 262 Metres Self Reliant Indigenous Ship Into Indian Navy
PM Narendra Modi Commissioned INS Vikrant, giant India's first ever indigenous ship, at Cochin Shipyard Limited, on September 2. The commissioning of the made-in-India craft will boost India's defence and attack capability, enhancing the Indian Navy. Built at a cost of Rs. 20,000 crores, is a self-reliant, 262-meters ship. "INS Vikrant is a floating airfield, a floating town and power generated in it can light up 5,000 houses, said Modi.
