PM Modi to Inaugurate Undersea Cable Project for Andaman & Nicobar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through video conference on August 10, will inaugurate an undersea Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) project connecting Chennai to Port Blair. According to the official press release, the submarine OFC project will connect Port Blair to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock), Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Kamorta, Great Nicobar, Long Island, and Rangat also. The project aims to enable the delivery of faster telecom services to Andaman and Nicobar.
