Polar Bears Might Go Extinct by 2100, Scientists Warn
Scientists in Canada have predicted that polar bears could go nearly extinct, with very few numbers remaining, by the year 2100, due to climate change and melting Arctic snow. Their study has been published in Nature Climate Change journal. With the current rate of greenhouse emissions, they could experience starvation and reproductive failure, as early as 2040. Currently, fewer than 26,000 polar bears are left in 19 different regions.
