UP Police Detains State Congress Chief For Protesting Without Assent

For conducting a 'Gai Bachao, Kisan Bachao' march without prior permission, Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu and 50 party members have been detained by the police. Congress' Lalitpur District President Balwant Singh Rajput has stated that over 200 party workers were arrested and about 24 were injured by the police. The six-day march was initiated by Congress to question cows' death because of the state government's 'mismanagement'.
