Pondicherry: Students Demand Withdrawal of Fees for Facilities not Availed

Students' Council of Pondicherry University sent a letter to the Vice Chancellor of the university on August 7, demanding complete withdrawal of fees for the facilities that they are not availing during the time of the Pandemic. The letter read, "demand for the full semester fees to be paid is completely baseless and insensitive," considering the fact that computer labs, sports and library facilities are not being used. The council stated that stipulating fees at a time of severe financial difficulties has been causing immense trauma to the students.
