Pranab Mukherjee's Ashes Immersed in Ganga at Haridwar on September 1

The ashes of former President Pranab Mukherjee on September 1 were immersed in the Ganga at Haridwar as a "family custom". His son, Abhijit Mukherjee, performed the last rites at Har ki Pauri Haridwar. The former President passed away at 84 on August 31. He was cremated at the Lodhi Road Crematorium with full state honours. The Central government, and many states as well, have announced a 7-day mourning.
