Punjab To Get Two Ecotourism Projects Around Ranjit Sagar Lake

The Punjab government has approved two ecotourism projects around Pathankot's Thein dam built along the Ranjit Sagar lake. Reportedly, the Rs 550-crore project has drawn inspiration from well-known lakes of Italy and would be modelled upon the "Himalayan style architecture". Initially proposed by the former SAD-BJP government, the project, in a revamped form, is currently spearheaded by the ruling Congress government and may be instituted as a public private partnership (PPP) model.
