Punjab: KMSC Halts Railway Track Blockade In Amritsar After 169 Days

The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee on March 11 halted its rail track blockade in Amritsar against the Centre's farm laws after 169 days. Blocking the tracks near Amritsar's Jandiala, KMSC had reportedly affected around 60% of the state’s railway traffic. The committee cited the approaching harvest season as a reason to suspend the blockade and expressed commitment to join the farmers at Delhi border and even resume the blockade if not heeded by the government.
