RaGa Asks PM To Withdraw Lakshadweep's New 'Anti-People' Regulations

Congressmen Rahul Gandhi on May 27 sought PM Narendra Modi’s intervention in the withdrawal of new regulations in Lakshadweep. In a letter addressed to PM Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi termed the proposals as 'anti-people', 'anti-democratic’ and 'draconian' which penalise dissent and grassroot democracy. Referring to the proposals like creating authority to acquire land in name of development, Rahul said livelihood and sustainability are sacrificed for short term commercial gains.
