Railways Rolls Out New Flight-like AC-3 Tier Economy Coaches

The Indian Railways on February 10 rolled out newly designed third AC coaches from the Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala. Aiming to provide affordable flight-like journeys, the new coaches are equipped with reading lights, personal AC vents and USB charging ports. These coaches will also have one disabled-friendly toilet. Luminescent aisle markers and berth numbers and illuminated birth indicators are additional features. Besides, the passenger capacity of coaches has also been increased, from 72 to 83.
