Rare Fauna Seen At Gangotri National Park Points Rich Biodiversity
Recent sightings of rare animal species have proved the blooming biodiversity of Uttarakhand’s Gangotri National Park. The Divisional Forest Officer RN Srivastava said sightings and camera trapping of rare Snow Leopard, Himalayan Brown Bear and Himalayan Tahr confirm the park has a stable prey base. Reportedly, the park authorities had installed 25 cameras above 3,000m height. Moreover, the DFO added a varied variety of fauna would help to conserve the resources efficiently.
