Batting first RCB after its shaky start by losing early opening pair anchored with Glenn Maxwell’s 78-off-49 balls and AB de Villiers unbeaten 76* off 38 balls posted 204 runs on the board. Later, chasing the massive target KKR was kept under control by the RCB bowlers as opener Shubhman Gill was knocked out in the second over after scoring 21 runs. Pacer Kyle Jamieson and spin twins Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel gave continuous breakthroughs to KKR restricting them at 166/8. De Villiers was awarded the Man of the Match as RCB reclaimed its top position and becoming only unbeaten side in the tournament.
