Report Says Jharkhand Has Substantially Inferior Pupil-Teacher Ratio
Jharkhand has a "substantially inferior" pupil-teacher ratio with over 2/3rd vacant seats for teachers in primary and upper primary schools, revealed a data. Reportedly, 70,000 additional teachers should be employed for 34 lakh students in 33,000 schools. Similarly, in middle school education, only 14,099 teachers were sanctioned with 16,680 vacant slots. One of the officials said, “New cadre will allow us to add 30,000 primary and upper primary sanctions".
