Robot Deployed In Polling Booth To Advice Voters On COVID Guidelines

In what could be called as a unique initiative, a robot had been deployed in a polling booth at Ernakulam during the local body polls to aid the voters on COVID-19 precautionary guidelines. The robot named Sayabot, which has been designed by a Kochi-based start-up Asimov Robotics was the first to appear in polling booths. Interestingly, the robot made temperature-checks, offered sanitizers, and advised people to maintain physical distancing.
