Rows of Houses In Prayagraj Coloured Saffron with Paintings of Hindu Deities

Rows of houses in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj have been painted saffron with images of Hindu deities and religious symbols over them. The pictures of the street started going viral on social media with many people condemning it while others calling it a “good idea”. One user even suggested that instead of these paintings, awareness symbols regarding COVID-19 would have proved beneficial. But, many believe this would refrain people from littering and throwing garbage around.
