Russian Vaccine Shows Antibody Response with No Side Effects: Lancet study
Russian COVID-19 vaccine 'Sputnik V' has shown antibody responses with no side effects in a peer study data reported in the Lancet. The vaccine also produced T-cells in first 2 phase trials. Interestingly, antibody responses were higher in post-vaccination immunity than convalescent plasma. Russia is planning to commence with vaccination of medical personnel and teachers. Russia named its vaccine after the World’s first satellite, launched by Soviet Union in 1957.
