S. Korean Parliament Suggest Ban On In-app Purchases From Google & Apple
The South Korean parliament has suggested amending a law to ban Google and Apple from forcibly charging commissions from software developers on in-app purchases. This is the first restraint on the tech giants by a major economy. Apple commented that the bill “will put users who purchase digital goods from other sources at risk of fraud". Meanwhile, Google stated, “the rushed process hasn’t allowed for enough negative impact analysis".
