Sanjay Arora, 1988-Batch IPS Officer, Appointed As Delhi's New Police Commissioner

Sanjay Arora, a Tamil Nadu-cadre IPS officer who is now the Director General of ITBP, was named Commissioner of Delhi Police on July 31. Arora will replace Rakesh Asthana. Arora, IPS officer from 1988 batch, will take over on August 1 and will serve till further notice. He was the SP of Tamil Nadu Police STF that pursued forest brigand Veerappan, for which he received the chief minister's gallantry medal.
