Save Mollem: Centre Approves 140ha Forest Land For Railway Project In Goa

The central government approves diversion of 140 hectares forest land for doubling railway lines despite strong protests to save Goa's Mollem. Out of the total, nearly 120ha of forest falls under Mollem's Bhagwan Mahavir National Park that will undergo Castlerock to Collem stretch construction. Moreover, additional 1.9ha and 15.6ha land has been approved for Collem to Margao section. Meanwhile, the natives have resolved for a legal battle to save Mollem's biodiversity.
