SC Issues Notice To West Bengal Over Ban On "The Kerala Story"

The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an order to the West Bengal Government regarding the ban of "The Kerala Story". Notably, the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) banned the screening of the Sudipto Sen directed movie citing "maintenance of peace" in the State. Heavy police force were deployed outside theaters across the State to stop people from visiting halls. However, the SC questioned and opposed the ban of the movie.
