SC Refuses Private Schools From Levying Annual Fees & Development Charges
The Delhi High Court's decision of letting unaided private schools in Delhi levy annual fees and developmental charges on students, was refused on June 28 by the Supreme Court. The Delhi High Court had overturned the Delhi government’s orders of April and August 2020 stopping private schools from charging annual charges and development fees. Parents and students had pleaded on grounds of high fluctuation in fees and not using resources.
