SC Stays Bombay HC's 'Skin-To-Skin Contact' Decision For Sexual Abuse
The Supreme Court on January 27 stayed the exonerate order of the Bombay High Court which said that groping without ‘skin to skin contact’ does not qualify sexual assault. The apex court also allowed Attorney General, who put up the issue calling it “disturbing” and a bad precedent, to file a petition. Reportedly, the Bombay High Court had acquitted a 39-year-old man who is facing imprisonment charges for groping a 12-year-old girl.
