SC To Stop Sharing Video Conferencing Links On WhatsApp From Mar 1

The Supreme Court, through a February 27 circular, has banned the use of WhatsApp to share video conference links. Owing to the new Information Technology Rules, 2021, registered email ids and mobile numbers of advocates and parties will be used to share video links for court proceedings form March 1. Earlier, the Centre has introduced several modifications in the IT rules to regulate the operations of social media and OTT platforms in India.
