SC Turns Down Plea to Waive Off Private School Fees;

A petition filed by parents from eight different states, led by Sushil Sharma requesting a waiver of fees in private schools due to COVID-19 imposed lockdown, was spurned by the Supreme Court on Friday, July 10. The committee headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde, refused by saying that the situation in each state varies and hence the matter should be raised before respective High Courts.
