SC Urges Centre, States To Consider Lockdown To Break COVID Chain

The Supreme Court has urged the Centre and state governments to consider imposing a lockdown due to a massive increase in COVID-19 cases. The court asked the Centre to formulate a national policy within two weeks so that none are denied hospitalization in any state due to lack of residential proof. It also urged the governments to review the COVID-19 measures; availability of oxygen, vaccines, essential drugs and their pricing.
