Scientists Find a 172,000 Years Old "Lost" River Shedding Light On An Age Old Civilisation

Scientists from MaxPlanck Institute, Anna University and IISER Kolkata, through a research, have found evidence of a lost river which flowed through the Central Thar Desert. They believe the river might have flowed by changing meanders about 172,000 years ago and supporting Paleolithic life. Scientists have said that satellite images have also shown networks of river streams. Reportedly, they also studied the river sand and gravel deposits from mining-pits near Nal village.
