Scientists, Historians Join Hands To Recreate Ancient European Smells
To recreate the aromas present in Europe between 16th and early 20th century, a team of researchers has announced a three-year project. The team comprising scientists and historians from across the Europe and UK is planning to develop an online encyclopedia of the European aromas. The 2.8 million euro project, named "Odeuropa", will use Artificial Intelligence to describe odours in historical texts and spot aromatic items within pictures.
