Scientists Warn Fungus Capable Of Inciting Deadlier Pandemic
Scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have alerted that the next pandemic could originate from a yeast-like fungus. Candida Auris, a fungus that remains unfazed by anti-fungal drugs, has been described as the ideal pathogen for a more lethal pandemic. The CDC informed that the fungus could be deadly, specifically if it infiltrates the bloodstream through catheters or other tubes piercing one's body at hospitals.
