Second Sero Survey: 6.6% Prevalence of COVID-19; Higher in Urban Slum-Areas
The second serological survey by Indian Council of Medical Research has stated that around 6.6% of its participants were exposed to COVID-19 in August. However, the ICMR director, said that the number of undetected cases had come down, indicating the success of testing strategy. The survey revealed that the prevalence of infection was higher in urban areas as compared to rural areas. The survey was conducted on over 29,000 participants across 21 states.
