Septuagenarian's cremation delayed due to PMC protocol

Though the Pune Municipal Corporation(PMC) had promised efficient Covid-19 services and cremation services, the reality is patients have long waiting periods. A resident of Sangamwadi succumbed to Covid-19 unable to get a bed on time. The officials failed to respond despite being informed, relatives were waiting an entire day to perform the last rites. PMC officials alleged that they were simply adhering to the protocol.
