Several Chapters Scrapped In New CBSE Class XI Syllabus Cause Unrest With Parents

As per the orders of the HRD ministry, CBSE has to reduce the syllabus for classes 9 to 12 by 30%. Chapters on Federalism, Citizenship, Nationalism, and Secularism from the Political Science curriculum of Class 11 for the academic year 2020-21 were “completely deleted”. Several parents and teachers took to Twitter to express their concerns and resentment towards the axing of these core constitutional topics.
