Shabnam Files Fresh Mercy Plea To President Kovind, UP Governor

Murder convict Shabnam has submitted a fresh mercy plea to President Ram Nath Kovind and UP Governor Anandiben Patel. Reportedly, two lawyers on February 19 met Shabnam and convinced her to re-apply for the mercy. "She also has the right to file a curative petition in the SC," stated Shabnam's lawyer Shreya Rastogi. Convicted for killing seven family members, Shabnam’s mercy plea was earlier rejected by former President Pranab Mukherjee and recently by Governor Patel.
