Shabnam's Son Urges Prez Kovind To Spare His Mother From Execution
Murder convict Shabnam Ali's 12-year-old son Mohammed Taj has requested President Ram Nath Kovind to spare his mother from the possible execution. The boy, currently living with his foster parents, held a board that read, "President uncle ji, please forgive my mother Shabnam." Uttar Pradesh-based Shabnam can possibly be India's first woman to be hanged since independence. She was convicted for killing seven members of her family, including a 10-month-old baby, in 2008.
