Shalimar-Chennai Express Accident: Union Minister Announces Rs 10 Lakh Exgratia

The Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reached Odisha's Shalimar Express train accident spot and inspected the situation. He also held a high-level meeting and ordered a probe into the deadly accident, which killed over 238 people and left as many as 900 injured. In addition, the Union Minister announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakhs for the deceased and Rs 2 lakhs for injured. PM Narendra Modi also announced ex-gratia.
