Elon Musk's SpaceX has secured a deal for roughly $255 million to launch Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope mission, which will study the impacts of dark energy, dark matter, and exoplanet exploration. In 2026, NGRT will be launched at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida atop SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket. The telescope is named after Nancy Grace Roman, Nasa's first chief astronomer, who cleared the path for larger-scale space telescopes.
