Sri Lanka- India Bilateral Ties Strengthen With Luxurious Train Launch

Sri Lanka Government launched a special luxurious train, between Tamil dominated Jaffna and capital city Colombo. The Country's Transport Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi launched train and welcomed Indian Deputy Commissioner K Vinod, at Colombo Fort Station. The launch is said to be a major step towards the strengthening bilateral ties between India-Sri Lanka. Notably, for the special trains, Indian Government provided AC Diesel Multiple Units (AC DMC) under loan facilities.
