Sri Lanka PM Mahinda Rajapaksa Resigns Amid Nonwide Curfew
After the Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned, the island went under curfew on May 9. Furthermore, protestors attacked the Rajapaksa family home in Hambantota and aflame memory built of the President and PM's parents. MP Amarakeerthi Athukorala opened fire and critically wounded two people blocking his car. Police fired tear gas shells, and at least 100 people are injured and hospitalized in Sri Lanka, which is facing crisis.
