Srinagar Temple Reopens After Being Shut For 31 Years Due To Militancy
After over three decades, the doors of Shital Nath Temple in the Habba Kadal area of Srinagar were reopened on February 16. The devotees performed a special 'Pooja' on the occasion of Basant Panchami and reinitiated the rituals in the temple. The reopening received huge support from Muslims in the valley as well. Earlier, the temple had shut its functioning 31 years ago due to terrorism in the valley and the outmigration of Hindus.
