Study Claims Vaccines Less Effective Against UK, Brazil COVID-19 Strains
A new health study has claimed that the antibodies produced in response to the vaccines are less effective against the new COVID-19 strains. Published in the journal of Nature Medicine, the study explained that new COVID-19 variants reported in UK, South Africa and Brazil have the ability to evade antibodies. Besides, the Washington University of Medicine scientists have also emphasised on the need of producing purified antibodies to neutralise new variants.
